To CE marking in 6 steps

One wrong assumption in step 1 affects the entire process. That is why we go through every step in a structured way, so you save time and prevent costly mistakes.

01

Determine the correct legislation

We

We investigate the nature, purpose, and sector of your product and determine which EU directive(s) or regulation(s) apply. The essential requirements differ per legislation, so from here, we set the right course.

02

Select the harmonized standards

We

We identify the standards that specify the technical requirements for your product. If you meet them, you are presumed to conform, which significantly simplifies the process.

03

Requirements mapping and risk analysis

We

We determine all legal requirements for your product and your market. Then we perform a risk analysis that reveals the risks. We also check if other legislation applies alongside the CE requirements.

04

Have your product tested

We test ourselves

Testing requires expertise and specialized equipment. We have our own laboratory in China, close to where your product is made. That saves shipping time and costs, with a test report usually available within ten working days.

05

Compile the technical file

We

We bundle all documentation regarding the design, construction, operation, test results, and conformity of your product, plus all certificates. You keep the file for ten years and keep it available for the regulatory authority.

06

Marking and declaration of conformity

You sign

You apply the CE marking and sign the EU declaration of conformity. By doing so, you as the manufacturer confirm that your product meets all applicable EU directives. Your product is ready for the European market.

CE processes that held up

All projects
A technical distributor with branches in five European countries · Articles containing a substance on the Candidate List

Five branches, one notification that adapts

Placing the same articles on the market from five countries means the same notification obligation five times. The full notification is now in one place and the other four refer to it, so a change only needs to be made once.

Fire-safe charging cabinets for batteries · SmartShelter and CoreShelter

One technical file for three markets

A cabinet designed to contain a fire, sold in three markets each with its own requirements. The initial fire report contained points that failed; these were rectified before the file proceeded.

Heat pumps · Air-to-water heat pumps

Thirty models on the subsidy list

Thirty models were not included on the equipment list because only test reports were available instead of technical documentation. They are now listed, and buyers can apply for the ISDE subsidy.
