It is a declaration that you issue yourself as soon as your product falls under one of the European directives. <\/p><\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"sgrid js-reveal\">\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"swel\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"skop\">When it applies<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"sitem\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3>It runs on electricity or a battery<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>From a food processor to a power bank. Depending on the voltage and function, the Low Voltage Directive, the EMC Directive, or the Radio Equipment Directive apply, often two simultaneously. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"sitem\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3>It has moving parts with a drive system<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Machines fall under the Machinery Regulation. From January 20, 2027, Regulation 2023\/1230 will replace the old directive, with stricter requirements for software and maintenance. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"sitem\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3>It is a toy or protective equipment<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Toys and personal protective equipment have their own regime with specific standards. Certain categories also require the involvement of a notified body. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<aside class=\"sniet\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"skop\">When it does not apply<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>Textiles, furniture, and kitchenware without electronics. That is not unusual: many products fall under two or three laws at the same time.
